My daughter just started rice cereal over the last week, and so far its gone alright. I've been debating how to move forward from here and curious how you have done it.
So far, I've just given her a small amount of rice cereal at dinner time. Not sure if I should offer her it at other meal times, or do I add puree fruit and veggies at those times instead of increasing the amount of rice cereal she gets a day? I do have her 6 month pedi visit next week and can ask our doctor, but just wanted to see how it worked out for you and your baby.
Re: Share how you intro'd food
My daughter started with rice cereal, and then I started mixing in fruit or veggies in with it...then she ate the fruits and veggies by themselves.
We did 2-3 oz of breast milk with 3 tbsp of cereal 2 times a day for a month.
Now I'm doing 1-2 cubes (probably about 1/2 a can) of baby food with 1 tbsp of cereal 2 times a day. Bananas and squash so far. I think we'll go through as many different flavors as we can - we're making our own, so it's pretty exciting
My DD went straight from BF to table food at around 9 months, so it's fun to do the baby food this time around
