Does anyone watch this? I only know one other person who does.
Not even trying to be snarky, but I honestly want to know what Chris Rene fans think of him. Do you REALLY think he is the best? I feel like he is so obviously completely off key every single time he sings. Like painfully obvious. Yet he has never been in the bottom two, while amazing singers get sent home every week. I really don't get it.
So, fans of his, what is it? Do you think he has the best voice? The best show? Do you feel bad that he is a former drug addict (only 5 months clean...very scary for him to deal with this pressure, win or lose)? Do you think he is the cutest? What is it? I just don't get it at all.

I'm totally on the fence about him, don't like him, don't dislike him.
I was a HUGE Astro fan and I'm sad he's gone. I'm glad Rachel is gone, she was like a little toddlers and tiaras girl with a stage mom - way too cutesy for me.
Right now, I think it's going to be Melanie or Josh.
I kind of felt that about Rachel until she opened her mouth. She had such an adult voice. Heard she is meeting with Disney...can totally see her with them as far as her personality goes.
I thought Drew had a beautiful voice, and Astro had the whole package...creative, exciting performer, dedicated...cocky, but I can forgive that. Unfortunately, the voters didn't care for it. He was crazy talented. I am mostly a rocker chick but he was still one of my favorites from the beginning.
Love Josh, he is so real. Love Melanie's voice, but her passionate outbursts before every judging are kind of annoying me...as well as her accent making a surprise appearance. Since when do people hide accents? I thought most people considered them charming.
I just don't see Chris' talent at all. I think his singing ability is blatantly poor.

My SO & I watch it every week. I'm actually kind of pissed that he's still on there, especially after Rachel Crow got kicked off. IMO, Rachel was better than Marcus Canty & DEFINITELY better than Chris Rene. I think Chris gets pity votes because of his background and whatnot (that sounds rude, but I agree with OP that he's always off-key).
I was a huge Astro fan as well, and he's clearly better than Chris Rene as well. Now my favorite is Melanie Amaro. I told my SO that if she gets kicked off then I know only crackheads are voting and I'm done watching the show because everyone that I liked will be gone. I personally don't even really like Josh Krajcik (I have no idea how to spell his name, ha). It's not that he's a bad singer, he just doesn't keep me interested..
I know I'm WAYY too in to the show.
I really want to know who is voting for him and how he has so many hits and downloads! I seriously wonder if it is just his story. But I have been around enough addicts to know that being sober 4 months sadly does not mean you are likely to remain sober. Especially with the pressures of fame, winning or rejection that will be coming to him. I am not against him BECAUSE of his past, but I just don't see the talent.
And I am pretty tone deaf, so when I hear someone being off key, it has to be obvious.

I agree. I think he's gonna go right back to drugs as soon as he gets kicked off (if he does). I guess it's not right for me to get mad about the outcome since I don't even vote, but it still upsets me!
I dont get it either. He's doesn't even seem very sincere to me.
I looooooooooooooooved ASTRO..So cocky and so cute I just loved it...And he wrote his own lyrics EVERY week; Jay Z better sign him.
Im not a big fan of anyone who's left.
