So this is my 3rd cycle where I have had no CM whatsoever. I am ovulating like clock-work, but I'm very dry the days leading up to O, the day I O, and the days following O. I have tried green tea, EPO, I drink about 80 ounces of water a day, nothing works. We use Preseed but I know that doesn't replace CM. I check my CM internally too and there is nothing to be found. Am I wasting my time TTC if I have no CM? My very first cycle TTC I had EWCM the day I ovulated but since that first month I have had none. Just wondering what you ladies would do if you were having this problem.
Re: ZERO CM a big problem?
I'm sorry to hear this.. I don't have an answers for you but I thought I would share my experience.
I have always had an abundance of cm (I know, tmi) and when not TTC, it is so annoying! Anyways, this is my 1st cycle TTCAL and I'm thinking because of all the bding since we are TTC, it's diminished my cm by alot that this cycle, that I couldn't tell you when I had the ewcm... Obviously, this is just what happened to me, but I think that is the reason for me barely getting any this cycle.
Now that I am in the 2ww and not bding all the time, I've noticed a big increase in my cm again.
ETA: I would put a call in to your Dr. to see what they say. Good Luck!
I am also curious about the answer to your question. I have yet to see the elusive EWCM and wondering if that is an issue. Hope you get it resolved... I'll let you know if I do as well
I know of a girl on another board who does not get CM either, and she has been pregnant 3 times. Also I remember reading something on FF about Pre-seed and other sperm friendly lubes, saying that they don't increase your chances of conceiving, unless the sex wouldn't have occurred without it. So that to me says that sperm don't need fertile CM to fertilize an egg. The same article said that your fluid produced from sexual arousal is more helpful than sperm-friendly lubes, so if you're getting physically turned on before sex then that is helpful for the sperm reaching their destination.
AND I read somewhere else that even in non-fertile CM, sperm live about 2 hours, so if you're having sex on O day, even if they only lived 2 hours you'd still have a chance.

Wilson, I might be way off and totally crazy, but this was my experience: Two months in a row, I got EWCM in one big clump (sorry) and when I went to pee first thing in the morning, it all came out in a ball and I was mostly dry the rest of the time. I don't know if it made a difference, but on the day I'm 99% sure we conceived we BD'd in the morning before FMU. Not sure if that helps, but that was my experience.
