LO can stand for a couple of seconds unassisted but not for a really long time. Just wondering if anyone else's LO's are walking. I have two friends whose daughters were both walking (e.g., standing and taking steps) by 9 months. I am assuming that this is super early and not the norm.
Re: Is anyone's LO walking/standing?
DD has been running around behind one of those push walkers for awhile now, but not at all on her own. She'll let go and stand for seconds, 10 at the most, but then she sits back down. I'm in no hurry for her to walk.
My little cousin was not just walking, but running by 7 months. It was insanely fast and most people don't believe it until they see video of it. Most babies I know didn't start walking until at least 10 months.
My LO isn't walking on her own yet but she will walk if I hold her hands. She does pull her self up more and more now. However, she is still trying to figure out how to crawl. It's so cute to watch her.
This
Some kids never crawl- just scoot or army crawl and then go straight to walking. It's looking like my son might be one of them, but I hope I get at least a month or 2 of the bum-up crawling before he's really walking!! He's been army crawling for what seems like forever and is now obsessed with trying to walk. He loves walking with someone holding his hands and whenever he's holding onto something standing up (i.e. couch) he will turn and take steps like he's just going to walk away. He falls down, but he gets a little further each time. He also will climb the stairs if we let him. Scares the CRAP out of me. He's fearless and never sits still
I think I may have my hands full...
C crawled at 7m and a week later, learned how to pull up to standing. She was cruising around the furniture at 8m and that's all she wants to do now. She's nota big crawler, she'd much prefer to be on her feet doing circles around the coffee table.
She has unknowingly let go and stood unaided a couple times, for just a few seconds. But she's not doing it knowingly. Despite the fact that she was early to crawl and pull up, I don't see her walking unaided until sometime between 10 and 11 months.
Same.
