BAH ?

DH didn't get BAH on the first with his check. His LES is still messed up for some reason and has little to no info on it.

I was pretty sure the previous BAH amounts went through with the first paycheck of the month, but DH wants to wait until the 15th to see if it goes then.

Thoughts?

    When I PCSd to my current duty station, it took close to 6 weeks for the BAH change to show in my LES. Finance is a tricky shop LOL

    it took us 4 months for them to get our BAH right when we moved. If it isnt there next check i would have him go to finance and see what is happening. Good luck. I HATE pay issues but it seems they always happen

    Married 11/27/09 and TTC right away
    Dx: Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication, endometrial polyps, PCOS, endometriosis, hypo thyroid, luteal phase defect
    4 uterus surgeries to correct my complete septum and to remove polyps and 2 years of seeing the RE, medicated cycles and IUIs
    Baby 1 and 2: BFP 3/3/11 with 2 babies EDD 11/1/11, M/C 4/6/11
    Baby #3: 8/11 pregnant EDD 4/27/11 and m/c:(
    Baby #4: 10/12/11 BFP! EDD 6/16/12m/c 10/26/11
    Baby #5: 3/13/12 BFP! EDD 11/25/12 ANOTHER m/c :(

    Baby #6: 2/14/13- BFP! EDD 10/24/13, CP 2/19/13
    Baby #7: 3/15/13- BFP! EDD 11/27/13, another CP
    Baby #8.  BFP 5/19/13 EDD 1/22/14. 8 was not our lucky number

    4th septum resection on 5/31/13.
    Baby #9: 6/29/13 BFP. C section scheduled for March 5th!

    My miracle baby was born March 5 at 9:33am. He was 8 lbs 12.5 oz and 21.25 inches long!

    We just PCSed and found out DH has been getting paid at the right rank on top of it taking a month to get our BAH right. Thankfully, we just got word that its been fixed. Hope they work it out quickly for you.

    Liam born by Repeat C-Section on June 20, 2014 @ 8lbs 2oz 20.75 inches

    When it comes to finance be proactive not reactive. I would have your DH make the call to get the status, get the name of who he talked to and the projected time to get the info fixed. It is so much easier to call back in a few weeks and say I talked to XYZ on this date. When a person gives out their name they tend to follow up and ensure the info is correct.

    Get his First Sergeant involved right away.  At my base, Finance wont really help anyone until the First Sergeant gets involved and calls them.  Also, at least then there is a record of what has been done to get his pay fixed.  Finance (at Ramstein AB) is really unhelpful unless you make them be.  Good luck!

    I wouldn't really mess with his command until you try to fix it yourself. Where your at you may not have many issues working with the finance office. I know ours is really helpful. I would call them, see whats going on, and if they can't help much then have him talk to his command. And see if it comes in on the 15th. If it comes on the 15th, you should get backpaid for what you didn't get on the 1st.

    Make an appointment to talk to someone in finance with all of your records in hand (and copies in case they might need them).  Be polite and courteous (even if they aren't in return)... it's not easy dealing with people's money all day every day and sometimes all it takes is being nice to get the ball rolling since so many people go in there angry and irritated.

    Make sure you have some sort of documentation of the meeting so that you can have that in your record in case it isn't fixed.

    And see if it comes in on the 15th. If it comes on the 15th, you should get backpaid for what you didn't get on the 1st.
