Mine had two teeth until just a week or two ago. Now there are a couple up top that are just poking through. However, there is a huge range on "normal" eruption times for primary teeth. Have you seen a pediatric dentist yet? AAPD recommends having a knee-lap exam within the first 6 months of their first tooth coming in or at 12 months, whichever comes first.
Also, I was very slow on tooth stuff. I lost my last baby tooth at age 14, just a couple weeks before I got my driving permit. Because of that, I don't worry at all that J is a little slower on getting teeth. Were you or your husband slow teethers? Were they born early at all?
Both of my boys have been "late" on tooth eruption according to the AAPD timeline.
I would not get concerned about it. There are a few syndromes in which teeth are not present but those are extremely rare (and I only know about these because DH and I are both dentists). DS#1 is 3 and just starting to get his 2nd molars, his 1st molars, laterals and canines came in around 24-28 months.
DS#1 had his first dental visit at 22 months and DS#2 at 16 months. Both are on 6 month recall schedule mainly just to associate happy times at the dentist!

My dh had most of his teeth by one and my mom said i had a bunch too. babies were full term actually (38wks)...so i'm not sure why they aren't breaking any. I few times i thought they were but nothing...they are going to the dr next mos so i'll ask then. Thanks!
One of my guys has six but he didn't have any until he was 12 months and then he literally got all six within like 2 weeks! FWIW, he wasn't overly cranky or anything. Hopefully the same for you!
My DD got her first at 10 months and did not get her second until 13 months then all of the sudden she got a bunch at once at the same time as molars I lost count and can't keep up with when she got each tooth because so many came in at once. We lucked out as she was not too upset by it. Maybe it is easier to get multiple teeth at once I am not sure.
One of my twins has a whole mouth full of teeth, and the other one still just has her bottom two teeth and that's it. I think our kids are the same age too! So... I'm right with you. I keep wondering when she will get more... but so far, nothin'!
