39w/5days... & NOTHING!

Hello ladies! I'm due on Tuesday and have had no sign of labor, No dialation or effacement. I've had a painful pregnancy w/round legimate pain and also sharp pains in my bladder area. LO has been right on my bladder the whole time. Well at night these pains increase, not sure if they are contractions are not. Nothing timeable. They are accompained with a dull lower back pain and an occasional harding of the stomach. But then the dwindle away once i lay down. I'm afraid that because I'm used to so much pain during this pregnancy, I wont actually know what to expect. I've had 3+ BM a day for 5 days now. My OB tells me that it is normal for babies to be born two weeks late or early, so I'm not expecting anything until 42 weeks at this point. Doc says that LOis still so high, if there was an emergency and she needed to be born today that an induction wouldn't even work. I seriously hope she comes before 42 weeks because I am totally avoiding a CS because it scares me to death! I just wanted to share w/those who understand the most! What are you thinking? Any of you having the same issues? Could those possibly be contractions? TIA

    It sounds like BH contractions and 3+ BM in 5 days is totally normal, in fact up to 1-2 a day are totally normal. And your OB is right, it can be normal for babies to come up to 42 weeks and it sounds like yours isnt quite ready to come out yet:( Sorry. Just try to take it easy (or do lots of walking if youre trying to get the baby to come down). As for the pain try doing come pelvic rocks or seeing a chiropractor. Both help greatly. GL!

    I'm hoping the are BH, because I'm hoping for some sign! I was also hoping the increased BM were also a sign! I'm in no hurry, she will come when ready. I hope my OB will let me go as long as needed and I'll avoid a CS. I will look into chiropractor, I have heard it's helpful. Thanks!
