I just had a 35 weeker on Sunday who was 4 lb 14 oz and 18 inches at birth. I have had the Dr's say he was a good size while alot of the nurses have told me hes so small... How big was your 35 weeker?
My son was a 35weeker and weighed 6pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long. I was told he was big for being born that early though. He has always been in higher % for size and all so he is just BIG.
6lb1oz and 18.5". He's now the length of a 15 month old = 30"!
Twin boys born too early at 17w4d and 18w2d in February 2010
Transabdominal cerclage placed September 2010
DS born at 35w1d in February 2011
Twin girls born at exactly 36w in February 2013
God truly blessed me. Chase, even though born at 36 weeks and under 5 lbs, never spent a day in the nicu. He was perfectly healthy from the second he was born and went home with me 2 days after being born.
DS was born at 33 weeks and 5 days weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces, he was bigger than some of the 35 weekers in the nicu. He was a big boy! He is 14 months and now he is small for his age, but for while he was right on target with his actual age for weight.
Our little guy was about the same as yours, born at 35 weeks 3 days. He was 4lbs 10oz and 16.5 inches long. I was told he was maybe a bit on the small side, but within normal limits for 35 weeks. Now at 2 years old he is in about the 70th for height and weight- totally average! He only spent a week in the NICU before coming home.

Our LO was born at 35 weeks exactly. She was 6lb 6oz and 20 1/4" long...definitely on the bigger side. (she was always measuring big) She didn't have to spend any time in the NICU (but she did have jaundice and had to be admitted at 4 days old).
