Anterior placenta :( (And a PIP of LO)

We had our NT scan yesterday and found out I have an anterior placenta. I'm totally bummed because I was hoping I would feel the baby way sooner this time because it's my second! Ultimately not a big deal, but I hope the lack of movement doesn't make me paranoid.

Here is a picture of LO:

And here is Big Sister Abby who "put on" Daddy's hat after I told her we were going bye bye.

I have an anterior placenta, too.  I have already felt a few kicks - so you may feel them soon too!

    Ooh, good! :)

  • Cute pic!  And your DD is A-dor-able!

I had an anterior placenta with DS, and it took a while for me to feel movement.  It took a really long while for DH to feel it from the outside (like 30+ weeks).  Just wanted to share so you don't freak out!

  • I don't know about this pregnancy yet, but I had an anterior placenta with DS and I started feeling movement with him at 13 weeks.

  • I had an anterior placenta with my last.  I felt movement early on 12-13 weeks and didn't know anything was different until the tech told us at our 20 week u/s.  After that I realized I rarely felt movement right up front, it was always off to one side or the other, but that was the only difference for me.

  • I had an anterior placenta with #2. I honestly didn't notice a difference at all. I felt her at 12-13 weeks. Didn't feel her AS much as I remember feeling DD1 between about 15 and 20 weeks (they discovered the anterior placenta at my 19 week u/s) but by around 22 weeks she was kicking up a storm and she was SUPER active. I felt her WAY more than I felt my first. If anything, I was glad it was anterior - it padded those ninja kicks. They hurt enough as it was!

  • I have an anterior placenta yet. I haven't felt kicks yet at 15 weeks but I thought it was usually 18-22 weeks for first time moms? I'm not sure exactly but I think now would be too early for most of us to feel kicks anyway.

  • I had an anterior placenta with DS and it actually seemed like a blessing.  I could feel everything but it wasn't as intense, which just meant I didn't have the experience of being woken up at night by the kicks.
