C-sections

How soon...

Did you start exercising after the c section? I don't mean a sweating workout, but some walking to get your body moving again. what about dieting to get rid of excess baby weight? I know it's recommended to wait 6 weeks pp, but am curious what you all did.

  • I started running after my 6 week check when my doctor gave me the ok.  However, I had been walking on a regular basis, unless my body didn't feel right, since about 3 weeks PP.

  • I started walking right away, as soon as I got out of the hospital. Not like fast, sweaty walking, but 15-20 minutes of walking at least everyday. I wasn't, and when a nurse called to check on me she encouraged me to. I waited about 4-5 weeks to start light weights and stretching, and 6 weeks for gym.

  • I started light walking right away. I just listened to my body and took it easy

  • I was told to start walking right away. Twelve hours after my c/s I was up doing a lap around the ward.  I wouldn't start dieting if you plan on breastfeeding.  You will need the calories.

  • I waited a while. I think it was 12 weeks pp.
    After many years and tears our baby boy is finally here
