Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Schedule for your 7 month old...

What is your 7 month old eating as far as milk and solids? What times? What are you giving and how much of it? Are you in Stage 2 foods, what??

Right now my LO gets 5- 6 oz bottles per day every 3 1/2 hours or so. She also gets cereal twice a day with her fruit and veggie. Fruit is in the morning for breakfast and veggie is at dinner.

I feel like I need to "up the food" because she downs the solids so quick and I can tell she would want more. But then when do you start cutting down the milk intake??? Any advice I would appreciate!

  • I do what you do but DS alsso has a veggie for lunch without cereal. Sometimes at dinner I give an extra veggie if DS is still hungry.

  • We do fruit/cereal mix in the mornings, veggie/cereal mix during dinner.

I'm not ready to mix in another meal quite yet, there are days where he still gets bored with what we are giving him currently.

  • She does a 5oz bottle five times a day.  And 3 meals- fruit and cereal for breakfast, fruit and veggie for lunch, and either yogurt or a fruit and veggie for dinner.

  • Elin is...

    7:30 Nurse

10:30 4 oz bottle at DC

    11:30 Fruit/Oatmeal or Barley

1:30 4 oz bottle at DC

4:15 4 oz bottle at DC

6:15 Nurse followed by a vegetable

She usually nurses around 1am as well.

She gets a Baby Bullet serving (2oz I believe) per "meal", usually some water in a sippy and she started to eat Mum Mums today (she hates Puffs).

I was giving more food at each meal but she wasn't nursing (or bottle feeding at DC) as well and then she was up a lot at night.  I am working towards larger bottles during the day but I just can't keep up with pumping that much!

  • My pediatrician said she needs to have 3 meals a day.

I am a breastfeeding/pumping mom of a 7 month old. Here is what we do.

7:00am-ish: Wake up/nurse. After she finishes I prepare breakfast for both of us.

7:30am: we sit and eat breakfast together. She eats 2 tablespoons of baby oatmeal.

8:00am: nap (she sleeps anywhere from an hour to two).

    10:00am: Wake up/nurse

Sometime between 10:30/11:00am we eat lunch (she eats 2 tablespoons of rice cereal and 1 tablespoon of veggies. Sometimes she eats a mum mum cracker too).

11:30am: Nap for about an hour (usually takes her a bit to fall asleep on her own)

    1:00pm: wake/nurse

    4:00pm: nurse

5:00pm: DD eats dinner (2 tablespoons of vegetables and a fruit. Usually feeds herself a mum mum cracker too).

    6:00pm: Nurse/bottle

Between 7:30-8:30pm: we start bedtime routine with a bottle of breast milk, continue routine and rock to sleep. DD sleeps through the night until 7am the next day.
