I saw this on facebook and found it intriguing.

(sorry I don't know how to make clicky)
So I was wondering, have you converted anyone to cloth diapering? How so? How were YOU converted to cloth diapering if you started off using disposables?
Re: non clicky poll- converting others to CDing
I've never converted anyone. Heck, I don't know anyone who's remotely interested in CDing or natural childbirth or any of the things that really drive me.
That said, what converted me to CDing was how super cute they are! That, and reading on here about how much money I could save.
I used sposies on DD. Her stepmom is the one who taught me about CDs because she used them on DD's little sister.
I have actually converted 3 friends so far just by talking about them, posting pictures on facebook, and being willing to answer any questions asked. Letting friends see them for what they are and getting hands on experience has really impacted their views.
I converted a friend by lending her my newborn diapers. She's on a tight budget and saving the money was a huge motivation for her. She bought a one-size stash on Black Friday, so now she's in it for the long haul.
She asked if she can lend them to one more mom before she sends them back. I'm changing the world!
I bought them cheap, so I'm fine if a few get worn out.

I've had one person ask for information and I'm making sure I give her info about the benefits before pushing her into all the overwhelming choices and decisions to be made.
But I'm ONLY doing it because I was asked. I kinda feel like parenting decisions are like religious decisions. I don't want anyone shoving their religion in my face, so I don't shove mine in theirs. I don't want anyone trying to push their parenting choices on me, so I don't push mine on them. Even if I believe without a doubt and no question that it's the best thing for every parent and child no matter what.
I've gotten 3 people from my BMB to try it out, just from raving about the cuteness and posting pictures. Also my SIL is going to CD her newborn to save money, and I don't think she would have believed she could do it before she watched us do it here.
I didn't start using cloth til my youngest was 4 months old, and honestly it was just on a whim at that time to try and save money. I got hooked with the cute and squishiness. I have to agree with the suggestions in the link up there. all those stats and stuff make people NOT want to use disposables, but not necessarily WANT to use cloth.
i converted to CDs because DD was horribly allergic to disposables, and i really had no choice.
but now i looooove them. i can't say i've actually converted anyone, but i have helped about 5 people by answering questions about them and making it seem easier to them. the funny thing is that 3 of them were friends from high school who saw my CD pictures on FB!
