Hello/Intro and ?

Hi! I'm a fairly new mom (had my little girl this past April), and I moved to the Towson area just before delivering her, from NJ. I've been busy getting into the swing of things, but now I'm realizing that I need to get myself more connected to this area. I have looked into some activities (I'm also a new SAHM), but I cant figure out if they're "me". I know I need to meet people, but have any of you done any mommy and me type classes that you felt were beneficial to both you AND your little one? I also looked into groups on MeetUp, but that's overwhelming (I get 900 emails a day on random groups that are all over place). I'm kind of lost...any advice? Thanks so much in advance!

    Welcome! Some of the moms on this board organize a monthly playgroup for the kids/moms. Next time there's a post about one, you should put your name on the list!

    Hi and welcome! I too had my daughter in April and we live in Timonium. I'm also a SAHM so if you ever wanted to meet up, we'd be interested! Definitely recommend attending the monthly play groups. I've only made it to one so far, but this is a great group of ladies!

    Thanks so much- I'll definitely be on the lookout for the monthly play group, that sounds great. I'd love t,o try and meet up with you and your daughter sometime too, Mella&T. I don't know my way around, but I do know Timonium, haha. I actually looked into classes at the Little Gym there, but I just wasn't sure how that would be! Thanks for responding, both of you! I hadn't considered that this board would be a good place to start, but I'm glad I posted!

    My DS was born in April too. And while I am not a SAHM, I am in the area so if you ever wanted to do something on a weekend, I would be interested! Only one of my friends has a LO so things can get a little lonely.

    Thanks so much! I would of course love to meet anyone; I didn't mean to sound exclusive with the SAHMs bit! I would definitely be up for weekends meet ups. We travel back to NJ some weekends, to visit the grandparents, but certainly not all. I'm actually from Medford; it's really close to Cherry Hill! I also spent my summers in LBI, so I also "grew up" there too. Small world! I'm so glad I posted; what a nice reception; thanks again ladies.
