3 weeks post c section and nervous

I've had a c section 3 weeks ago and barely had any bleeding. Today I went to the grocery store and walked a little more then usual and now I went to the bathroom and noticed bright red bleeding again. It is not a lot, but I was nervous because when I wiped (sorry for the TMI) something weird came out, like bloody mucus, it looked like a membrane or something...did anyone experience this??? It was really scary

I had that for the last time at about 3 weeks out. It wasn't that much. My OB said it was completely normal. I was freaked out because I had a lot of complications during and after surgery so any bleeding scares me.

Lochia can turn bright red if you've done too much too soon. I had it pick up a few times after I had my second son, and I had been on my feet too much. If you're really worried, you can always call your OB's office and ask to talk to someone.

Especially since you walked more than normal.

It has stopped already, the only thing that worried me was that thing that came out...I guess I will just watch if it happens again. Thanks!!

The thing was probably just clumps of mucus and tissue left from birthing - sounds normal.

I had that on and off too. Some days I thought it was tapering off, but if I was on my feet too long or did just a bit too much, I'd start bleeding bright red. Lochia is nasty. More nasty than a regular period 0_o
