Not sure if anything helps, but the day before I went into labor DH and I went on a car ride where he tried to hit all the bumps. He then found a bumpy road and went up that a few times (I mean, nothing ridiculous but it was bumpy) Not sure if that helped, but I went into labor the next morning.

Hahaha! I've been telling DH to avoid the bumps. Maybe I'll go for a ride with him in the diesel truck tomorrow. Not that I'm in a hurry just yet.

My nurse said hot sex and hot food. I have been eating tons of spicy food (it also makes my heartburn go away and I love it), have had sex a few times (some people say the semen does it and others say the woman's orgasm does it, so I've made sure to have both involved!) and have been walking around a ton, but that is more because I am going stir crazy waiting for her, so I am just staying busy!

Walking, bouncing on a birthing ball, sex and inserting EPO into your lady bits seem to be the most popular/ scientifically founded methods. However that doesnt necessarily mean anything will happen. But I started walking and bouncing last week (not so much to try to go in to labor but to help bring baby down some) and I went from 1cm, 0% effaced at 35 weeks to 2 cm and 75% with baby at a -2 station at 37 weeks. I started EPO last night so Im curious to see if there are any further changes at my next appointment. Also seeing a chiropractor can help bring the baby down (if your pelvis isnt in alignment with your body the baby wont come down as easily) and because if you do go in to labor having seen a chiro your labor is supposed to go quicker in general (baby has more room to move down) and pushing is supposed to be much easier. Either way I recommend a Chiro anyhow because it relieves so much pain and helps keep baby in head down position. I LOVE mine!
