I am just shy of 16 weeks and this is my belly. I should add that I'm only 5'4. I have had multiple people give me bug eyes and ask if it could be twins.. or triplets. Does this mean I'm going to be whale-esque very shortly?

Cute bump! I'm about the same size right now. Everyone carries differently and NO it doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get huge, it's probably just that your body has adapted to it's pregnant shape quicker than others might.

Oh... and as I'm sure you're beginning to notice, saying "Are you sure it's not twins?" is a favourite line for non-pregnant idiots out there. haha

Have you had an ultrasound to see if it is twins? A friend of mine is about 17 weeks with twins but is showing a good bit more than you. I am 18 weeks with just one, and am showing a little less than you... I'm 5'5" by the way, but have been carrying extra weight for the last year or so which could make my bump a little less noticable. Maybe it's your small frame that is making you show more? I don't think showing early necessarily means you will be larger than normal later. Either way I think you look great! Very cute bump!

I am just an inch taller than you but since I am bigger than you to start...I feel like I will NEVER show and I will just look fat (or fatter) for the next year.

I'm 16 weeks, 5'4" and about the same size as you. I think we're just carrying more forward facing, and everyone carries differently. I'm not worried...yet...

I'm 17 weeks and look about the same as you do-- I'm 5'3" and have had a very visible baby bump since at least 12 weeks. This was me at 12 weeks:

Looks good. Everyone carries differently and every pregnancy is different depending on where the baby is situated. People need to keep their yaps closed ;-) You look beautiful.

I think you look adorable! However I am pretty shocked! I am only 3 days behind you, and still absolutely NO bump. None! I wasn't "thin" to begin with. I was about 5lbs overweight before I got pregnant. However, I am 5'8", so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. When I saw family at Thanksgiving everyone wanted to see a bump, and I told them I'd probably have one by Christmas, but now I'm not so sure!

I look the same. I am also only 5'4. I have only gained a total of 4lbs. I think it is just how we are going to look. Smile
