Leap Pad- Is 2yrs. too young?

I'm debating on getting Max one for Christmas and I was wondering if it is even worth it right now because he's only 2.  I know they are a hot ticket item right now, but I *think* I found one.

    I debated on this for Button too.  But I think I'm going to wait until his birthday.

    I would probably wait...there is so much else that a 2 year old could REALLY enjoy before getting into a LeapPad.  My boys were super into trains at that age (still love them, but it was an obsession then), Look and Find books, tool bench, etc.
