I had an emergency c-section after 36 hours of active labor one week ago. This is our 5th day home from the hospital and I am still down, getting up to walk around but not much else. We've had lots of help from family and friends, especially with dinners. Some close friends of ours offered to bring us dinner tonight and we graciously accepted (we brought them dinner when their daughter was born).
They just called my husband and asked if we could all make pizza tonight over at our house for dinner. We've done this with them before-they needed help making the dough and my husband is a baker so the last time they came over to make pizza it turned into my husband baking the pizza and me cleaning up. We told them thank you, but our place probably wasn't the best place to make the pizza this time around...
Is this unreasonable? I just feel like they offered to bring us dinner, which is very kind, but we don't have the ingredients for pizza (last time they wanted to bake pizza we ended up using up all of our flour) and neither DH nor I have the energy to clean up such a messy project right now...
