NBR = gift advice

I don't personally watch DVD's but my DH does (instructional MMA DVD's - don't ask). Anyhoo, he broke his portable DVD player a while back. He's been watching them on his Mac computer. However, the screen on the Mac is also cracked (maybe he's trying to do moves that he sees on the videos with his computer LOL Lord knows I won't be his guinea pig!)

So my question is - do I get him a new portable DVD player for Christmas? Or do you think that his Mac is probably fine enough?

I should add, he'll sometimes take the computer to work to watch on lunch, or he'll take it in the basement where he has his gym set up, or on the "throne"...things like that. I thought they were much cheaper but I found one for $85 and that's a lot if it doesn't make sense to get it for him, KWIM? TIA!

    First, I love that your H watches movies on the pot. LOL. I would get him the portable for that alone and don't let JT touch it :P $85 sounds about right. The ones we have though are for the car not anything that can sit up on its own.

    Yeah, I would get it for him if its something you think he will use. I know what you mean though, if he is already able to watch them. But still, it sounds like he is due for an upgrade.

    I know target as running "spend 50, get a 10 dollar gift card" Maybe that will offset your cost a bit. I'd check their website if they have portable dvd players that are comparable in price.

    I think it sounds like a good gift. Obviously he already used one before and liked it, so I say a replacement is certainly a good idea.

    I think in you DH's case the portable DVD player would be a great gift. Sounds like he would get alot of use out of it, plus it's a bonus not to have to tote a computer to the loo Wink
