ummm... do your babies hit themselves?

DS holds one fist out and hits it over and over and over with the other hand! It looks like how someone slaps someone else's hand. I know babies like stimulation obviously. Is that what this is? I jokingly told him to find some other way to stimulate himself because people are going to think we slap his hand!

Mine hits himself in the head and pulls his own hair. It's a little disturbing, but I've been told it's nothing to worry about.

Same here - hits her head, pulls her hair (esp when I'm nursing her to sleep for the night) and uses her tummy as a drum - so odd!

LO swings his arm up and down pretty vigorously when he's excited..hitting his head then his leg, then his head again, then his leg again...etc!! haha

My LO will pull his hair when nursing too. And he will swing both of his arms down and smack his belly.

My DS will hit himself when I'm nursing him at night and sometimes during the day. He'll only cry though if he knows you saw him do it and he wants attention.=) It works. LOL!
