There are lots of other places/forums on the net to find information on BFing, sleep issues, going back to work, staying home, pregnancy loss, parenting, etc. but this board is truly the best at letting moms express their feelings and providing SUPPORT to each other. In a world where everyone wants to judge each other and claim their parenting ways are the best, it's nice to have a place to ask questions and not be judged. I only know one of you IRL, but sometimes I feel like this place is like Cheers (where everyone knows your name. Gah, I'm dating myself). So, in other words, thank you.
Re: I just have to say...
I feel the love, too. I frequently hear from moms a generation ahead that they felt isolated when their kids arrived, trying to figure out what to do. With "the online" available, I could get answers to questions and feel like part of a community even if I was at home with a newborn and only one hand free to type.
A big thanks.
I love the internets and especially this board
I so wish it was more active when DD was born, I think we'd have had a much easier time w/ a lot of issues. I still shudder at having to go to the national boards!
I agree. I'm on one national board (my birth month board) but even with all the great advice there we have dramaz break out from time to time. so i keep coming back here.
Ditto X 1,000,000!!!!! I love, love this board for the support, encouragement and constant solid advice. I never feel stupid asking any question and, as has been said by others, you all make me a better mother.
(I have always wanted to use the hug icon.)
As always, thanks for the non judgement, support and advice! (Just today I told H, the Bump Girls say its OK to leave her in the crib and diapers for a bit longer! He said, I know! I said the same thing earlier! But I needed the Bump Approval.)
with our combined knowledge and experience, we could write a book
