My mom is buying DS all of this snow gear for Christmas so he can play in the snow this year. Is he too young? What age do kids usually start enjoying the snow? Are you planning on letting your LOs play in the snow this year?

My LO plays in the snow at day care and LOVES it. They just bundle him up nice and warm in boots, snow pants and his winter jacket (plus mittens/hat/etc) and he has a ball!

DS will be playing in the snow as soon as it comes back. He missed out on playing in the leaves because they didn't fall off until it snowed. Which covered the snow. Stupid wonky weather.
oh good! I had no idea if they would understand or enjoy it at this age, I'm glad a lot of your LOs do! Looks like I better get myself a snow suit lol!

My girls have hated the snow until they are about 2. We have snowsuits to let DD play (both 18 & 24 mo), but I doubt she'll really "play". I think it is tough to move/grab things being all bundled up. Let alone to walk in clunky snow boots with snow clinging to them. We get a TON of snow a year, but generally it is like this morning and sub zero, so going outside is out of the question anyway.
Not sure if he'll love the snow, the last time it snowed here he was an infant. But I do think he'll enjoy sledding because he loves going down the slide. Looking forward to that!
