She has a second trimester loss.

As much as I hate that they have so many kids I would never wish a late loss on anyone.  I'm sorry she has to know what this feels like. 



Married October 28, 2006, TTC since March 2009 IUI #1-8 w/ clomid = BFN
IVF # 1 May, 2011 = BFP!!! Stillbirth at 26 weeks (placental failure/severe IUGR)

    I'm sorry she has to go through this, and even sadder that it has to be on national television. I know they open themselves up to that by being on the show, but my heart hurts for her.

    FWIW, I don't agree with their stance on having more children because I think her life (and potential loss thereof) should be a bigger consideration, but I don't purport to know what those conversations are like between her and JimBob.

    No matter how I feel about their choice to have so many children, I wouldn't wish the loss of a child on anyone. That's awful. I feel so badly for them.

    That is really terrible. :(   I hate to hear that anyone goes through a miscarriage. I can't imagine that kind of pain.

    That's awful! My thoughts go out to them. I am sorta surprised that it was only her 2nd miscarriage...

    Despite how much I don't like them, I still would never wish for something this terrible to happen to any woman or family. How sad.

    At 45 she is of advanced maternal age (AMA). Pregnancy poses a risk for death to any woman but it begins to increase dramatically over age 35 and more so over 40. I hope she and her husband can have a discussion about how it's probably more important she be around for the children they already have, as well as their grandkids, rather than trying for further pregnancies. Fetal outcomes are not reassuring at her age and unfortunately this news isn't so surprising.

    They'd never do that.  People like that, they would consider it a worthy sacrifice to give her life for a new baby.  They'd say its all God's will.
