I am dead tired all day long. I have been sitting at my desk since one this afternoon unable to keep my eyes open. I could curl up and take a nap right now.
I am trying to avoid coffee, and I constantly drink water, but nothing is helping.
The hardest struggle is staying awake once I get home.
DH made a new rule that I have to stay up with him until 9 PM each night before I can go to bed ![]()
Is anything working for you ladies?
Re: What do you do to try and stay awake?

you are kidding? go to bed earlier!
I was ... I was falling asleep at 7 for a while, but then I would wake up at 3 and toss and turn forever ... I guess it does make sense to him that if I stay up till 9 at least I won't wake up at 3 again ...
I just can't wait until that 2nd Tri energy kicks in
What? I either take a nap or go to bed by about 8:30 every night. There is no way I could function at work otherwise. Believe me, I've tried. Your husband has no right to tell you to stay away. The fatigue won't last forever, but you have to take care of yourself while it does.
Bookworm it makes me feel so much better than I am not the only one feeling this way ...
I am going to bed as soon as I get home tonight, that is, if I can last that long ...
Definitely sleep when you want to at night. That little bit extra could make a big difference the next day. You need to keep yourself healthy right now and making yourself exhausted won't help!
Tell your hubby that he needs to just get his time with you in after you get home and earlier in the evening so you can go to bed early!
Thats the problem with our schedules ... He leaves before I wake up and comes home about two hours after I reach home (Crazy hours + commute time)
Hence, if I m asleep he bascially gets to see me the next day in the evening, if I am still awake that is
The worst part of the day for me is early afternoon, after lunch. I'm so tired right then that I'm near tears, just totally miserable. I try to get up and walk a little to re-energize. By the time I'm on my way home, I'm certain that I'll just crash on the couch as soon as I get there, but I change clothes and then my energy picks up a little. I might cook something (easy) and that's one of my favorite things to do so it can be a little energizing. But once dinner's done, I'm pretty much wiped and am always asleep by 10.
I understand about wanting to spend more time with your H since he gets home later than you. What if you took a little nap (like 20 or 30 minutes) during his commute and then woke back up when he got home? Then you can stay up a little later and still sleep at night.
