The ever so popular "Winter ONEderland" party.

I decided to do DDs party the Winter ONEderland theme. I have a lot of ideas for snack food, but they are all sweets. Any ideas for any non sweet finger food I could make winter themed?

And I need some honest opinions, I was thinking about doing goody bags for the kids that show up but for the adults I was going to do an ugly sweater contest and the winner, and runner up get a prize? Dumb idea??

  • Sweets are easy to come by for this theme. I did the same one for Emma's birthday last year. For the salty treats I had plates of crackers (sleds) and the snowmen were cheese balls I stacked to look like snowmen.

You can always do chicken salad sandwiches or tuna salad.

For one of the centerpieces I did a gingerbread village with large Christmas suckers that looked like Christmas trees. Target had a bunch last year. I had goody boxes that were gingerbread houses and inside had fruit snacks, a juice box and goldfish.

  • I'm thinking about doing a chili bar for DS's party. Easy, fun and delicious. There's not going to be a ton of people there though, so that could make a difference.

  • I was thinking of doing "white pizza" as one food option. I'm trying to think of things I can just set out before the party and not have to tend to throughout the day.
