One of my friends up here has a new Canon DSLR, and she dropped it on her wood floor today.

She said the lens is stuck (?) - I couldn't clearly understand what she was saying, because she was pretty much hysterical about it when she called me, but I understood that it's not working at all. She called the only local camera shop and they said the nearest repair would be Madison (3 hours away). I'm wondering if there's an online repair place she could trust to do a good job and not rip her off on a repair? Anyone have any good (or bad) experiences to pass along? There is a camera shop in Green Bay that my DH ordered my new lens from, but I wanted to check first if there were any options you trusted. TIA!

Re: photogs: dslr repair?
Ditto. If the lens comes off, can she try a different one (if she/you/someone has one) to isolate the issue to the lens or the camera? Camera bodies are pretty resilient, so I'd be surprised if the issue is with that. I had a focus ring get stuck on a lens before and sent it off for repairs and it wasn't very expensive to fix - 40-50$ish I think + shipping (SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the $800 it would have been to buy a new one).
