ENT Appt.

We scheduled an appt. with an ENT for next week to discuss tubes for MJD.  For those of you that have gone down this route, I'm assuming I should be prepared to go through the history of ear infections he's had?  Is there anything else?

TIA!

Re: ENT Appt.

  • Not that I remember. It was pretty much a consult to discuss history of ear infections and the process to get tubes. We were scheduled for tubes two weeks after the consult.

Awesome, that's what I'm hoping for!  Everyone has told me how much a difference it makes.

  • We had to have the history of EIs and the medicines they had been on. They'll also ask some common questions like does he breath through his mouth, has he ever stopped breathing in his sleep, how's his hearing etc. Most likely or at least at Pediatric ENT of Atlanta they do a hearing test with your appt. Good luck!

This! My DS got tubes and it has helped quite a bit!

  • We had a hearing test done at the first appt as well. I can't tell you what a difference the tubes made. It was no big deal though. Gavin was way more cooperative at that age. Now he's a royal pain for the test!
