I am also unable to cut it out of my life. However I now buy the throwback dew and I don't keep it in the fridge. So I have to really want it to get a can out of the pantry, put ice in a cup and drink it. My husband makes fun of me because I will choose a restaurant based on the fact they have dew and I will order dew over alcohol if I have the choice....I don't know what is in that stuff but I am in love!
I have diet mountain dew. Are the tastes too different to you? I typically switch from regular sodas to their diet versions easily, but I know some people can really tell the difference.
If you really love something, then I would keep it. One can a day, and just keep your total calories in range...as long as that's your only "bad" item for the day. Well, that is my opinion

I was addicted to Diet Coke, which is just as bad as Mountain Dew. I replaced it w/ Gatorade, but I only use it post-workout when my blood sugar is low or when I'm craving something sweet. It's definitely not the absolute best choice, but it is much better than soda.
All diet sodas are just as bad as Mountain Dew. They activate free radicals in the body, promoting the growth of cancer. Carbon Dioxide, which makes soft drinks bubbly, is not meant to be in the body, we breathe it out as a waste product. Putting it into your body can make our ph more acidic. The low calorie sweeteners in them is just as bad as regular sugar, causing false hunger cravings.
