SEVERE bruising in pubic area?

Did anyone else have severe bruising? The bruise was small, about the size of a quarter when I left the hospital but in the last few days, has grown to be the size of my entire pubic area and is swollen and hard to the touch.  I am going in to the doctor tomorrow to have them check it, but wondering if anyone else experienced this.  I didn't have this with my 1st c/s.

    That does not sound right and I'd be concerned. Your OB was okay with seeing you tomorrow on this? If you only spoke to a receptionist, I'd call again and ask to talk to your doctor. Are you feeling okay otherwise?

    I had no bruising whatsoever.

    I had no bruising at all...That doesn't sound ok, I would ask to speak to your OB's triage nurse or if it is after hours call the oncall OB and tell him.  I would seriously be concerned.. They may want you to come in or go to the ER.

    I would call the after hours line. And, especially because it's hard as that's never normal. Good luck!!

    Definitely call the doctor tonight. I had no bruising, that doesn't seem normal. I hope everything is okay!

    With my first I had a the bruising feeling all the way from the incision to the belly button. Yes this meant granny panties till it went away. I asked the doc and he said it is the way they cut you and then the pressure of getting pushed on. It should eventually have decreased sensation. He was right. However, you couldn't see mine really it was just the sore muscles and I felt like one giant bruise.

    Thanks everyone for your responses.  I went to the doctor today and he said that it was a hematoma, that somehow a blood vessel must have burst and caused this bruising.  It should dissolve back into my body eventually and return to normal.  In the meantime, I should just monitor it to make sure it doesn't get any larger and watch to make sure it doesn't get infected and ice it.  Oh the fun of surgery, right?
