Fiber Gummies

Hello ladies,

Couple of quick questions regarding fiber gummies.  What brand do you ladies buy?  Where do you buy them at? I saw some at Target but they were for adults.  Are those the ones you give to your LO's?  If so, how many do you give them a day?

I'm sorry for so many questions, but I didnt even know that these existed until a couple of days ago that I saw a post here at the bump.

TIA

Re: Fiber Gummies

  • We use these for Callum:

     Pedia-Lax Dietary Fiber Supplement

You can get them at Walgreens and Walmart.  I started with one and Callum gets two a day for regularity.  I like them a lot.  I give 2-3 to Rach or Harm if they get a little irregular but mainly only for Cally.  For us they are very potent so start small.  I would not use adult stuff w/o consulting a pedi.

  • We get the Pedia Lax brand too.  Sometimes they can be tough to find - like there's adult fiber products and then kid's fiber stuff, like with kids enemas and suppositories.

I think it is 1-3 a day.  I have it down to a science, just introduce them gradually and see what makes your child regular but not uncomfortable.  Also if my DD has a lot of rice or bananas, I give extra.

  • We also use the Pedialax gummies.  DS gets one a day unless he has had a few days that were low in other fiber.  Oddly enough, even though he has problems with constipation, two gummies is often too much for him.  They are potent.
