Ewe. I have a cyst under my arm :(

Right where my underwire of my bra hits my underarm, I had a gigantic pimple that formed while on vacation. I'm guessing the sweat + rubbing did it. Now it's a friggen cyst. I always get one in the same spot, and then after a few weeks it goes away. I just have to remember to leave it alone, but the rubbing of my bra doesn't help. I am trying not to go have to have it lanced etc, before Christmas. It doesn't hurt (cept when I try and squeeze it out of habit), it's just annoying. But i'm thinking if I have it lanced/taken care of, I won't keep getting it back. Just reading what they do makes me cringe.

  • I had one in a similar place. Mine was toward the back of my arm near my arm pit early on in the pregnancy. It took a while before it went away but I used witch hazel and some warm compresses to help. Good luck, don't try to pop it! It just makes it hurt more and can cause an infection.

  • My dad had a big deep one on his side under the ARM area. They gave him a local anesthesia and cut it out. He could feel it and that creeps me out!! But its cause it was so deep. If yours is little, getting something done may not be a big pain.

  • Yes, it's still pretty small, except when I mess with it. It's hard not to because it rubs my bra all day. I think i'll head into the doc and have it taken care of after Christmas. I am trying to avoid that place with all the winter germs. I just covered it with a small bandaid to try and cut down the rubbing. Hoping it will heal on it's own before I get there. But I just know that next time I sweat and something rubs, it will come back. I'm going to try the witch hazel and warm compresses. My mom's a nurse so i'm going to consult her when she gets home.

I get them under my arms occassionally (not soo much since I had laser hair removal) But this is wha tI do... I normally will put some water in a mug in the microwave and then dip a spoon in it.. (metal) and then hold the back of the spoon against it.. it hurts but it helps bring it to the surface... and the witch hazel of course..

  • I have this problem but will get them on my bikini line. Sitting in a hot tub (not an option now) or wetting a wash cloth and putting it in the microwave and holding it to the skin also helps the process.

  • I had one on my tailbone. I didn't realize what it was, so I went to the ER in a panic and had them to "fix" it. Nothing like having ur butt crack cut open for just a little pimple.
