3rd Trimester

Damn the radio!

Driving home last night, I thought the radio station I was listening to would NEVER stop playing depressing songs!

Although, my first mistake was listening to a country station at all... But that's pretty much all that comes in clear in my neck of the woods. LOL.

So, here goes. Songs sure to make a pregnant woman cry, all of which I heard consecutively last night.

1) "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw

2) "Saving Amy" by Brantley Gilbert

3) "The Dance" by Garth Brooks (LMAO, dunno why I got so emotional over this one)

And finally... 4) "Remember When" by Alan Jackson.

Anyone else been getting emotional over songs or movies?

Re: Damn the radio!

  • That boxer pic is stinkin' hilarious! I laughed out loud in my classroom!

And yes, I get teary eyed with certain country songs esprecially the Kenny Chesney (There Goes My Life) and Darius Rucker's (It Won't Be Like This For Long).

"Well, apparently we have a rapist in Lincoln Park! He's climbin' in yo windows, snatchin' yo people up!" LOL.

And yeah, There Goes My Life is makes me very emotional. Haha

  • Haha, I wish I could blame it on the baby, but I get all emotional over songs on the radio all the time... preggo or not!

BTW, have you ever seen the music video for The Dance?  It doesn't really have anything to do with a lost love, it has to do with life and relationships cut too short.  It has clips of John Wayne and John F Kennedy and so-on.  Yeesh, gets me every time!!!

One that I can blame on the pregnancy, however, is crying at Christmas songs... holy moly, are you kidding me?  Yup, it's happening, and it's SOO weird!

  • Ooooooo!! Last night in English Class we were watching clips from movies (we have to write a movie review for our final) and my teacher played the prom clip from Carrie. I have seen that movie a BAJILLION times and I've read the book. Never once have I gotten emotional. Last night in class with other people around me I started tearing up when she got voted prom queen. You know the part when it's in slow motion as her and Tommy are walking up to the stage and everyone is applauding and hugging her and she's SOOO happy? Yea I started to cry and all I could think was "why can't she just be happy! She's so close!!" Like a little part of me was praying that John Travolta and his stupid ho-bag girlfriend wouldn't pull the rope but I knew it wasn't going to happen and I got SO upset.

Also "Wishlist" by Pearl Jam made me cry (a song I've heard a bajllion times).

Also my husband was watching Alice in Chains videos and clips and I started getting emotional because Layne Staley had the most beautiful voice and he had to go and be a stupid drug addict and die. We watched an acoustic performance they did and he looked so sad and empty but this amazing voice was still coming out and it was so full of emotion and sadness and I almost started bawling right there! And he played "Don't Follow" which is by far my fave AIC song and I thought I was gonna lose it.

  • Bruno Mars- "It Will Rain" and worse because im going through a breakup and this songs gets to me every time.
