Re: Dr. Browns to Playtex Drop-in's

  • Around the 4 month mark my LO went on strike from taking a bottle so I decided to try out Dr. Brown's- previously we had used the drop ins. She still refused and would only drink straight from the source. Recently she has decided bottles are ok and will drink from either. The nipples on the Dr. Brown's are quite a bit smaller and sometimes I think she "plays" more with the Dr. Browns bottles before she starts drinking. When I am in a hurry I use the drop ins (WAY easier) but I also use the Dr. Brown's a few times a week in hopes that she won't go on strike again! Good luck with the transition!

  • we use the drop-ins and love them, especially with daycare and I work night shift and hubby works 2nd shift. So I think it is a little easier for our family that helps also.  It also makes me feel a little better that less chance of bacteria because I through away drop-in after each bottle. where as washing a bottle I might slack on the washing. try it out..can always go back to dr. browns
