You know, the one who's dressed warmer than her kid. Before we left the house I asked DH what the weather was like and if DD needed pants. He said no. He checks the weather multiple times a day, so I trusted him. It was fine for a little bit, but then the winds turned and there was terrential downpour. I got to the grocery store and instead of trying to get pants and a sweatshirt on DD in the parking lot while getting dowsed, I threw her in the shopping cart (with cart cover, relax) and hauled ass to get inside. I could feel the side-eyes from people for her being in only a onesie. I swear it was 70 and sunny when we left the house!!
Re: I was *that* mom today
It's been at least 3 months since Emily just got to wear a onesie outside. I'm super jealous! I hate putting Em in a coat though. So I'm that Mom too that bundled up in scarf, hat, gloves and wool coat while my daughter has just a hat on. But I prefer to just cover her in a fleece blanket then wrap her in it when I take her into a place. It's easier than shoving her into her car seat with a big coat on.
Screw those judgey people! I'd just stare back at them with my eyebrow cocked
The weather just cannot make up its mind. Tonight it's going to be 33 degrees. Yesterday I had the A/C on. This winter is looking to be wayyy less harsh than last year.
I think I would be approached by someone if Jay was in a onesie. I get side-eyed by people when he doesn't have shoes on. (But is wearing socks.) People ask about his shoes, then his age and are shocked. Today someone thought he was 16months.
I am glad you thought to at least bring pants. I would have been that mom that left the house without the pants.
