Reccomendations for Prenatal Massage

Hi! Does anyone have a place they reccomend to get a prenatal massage done? I don't want to join a monthly place like Massage Envy so just looking for a one-time type place.

Thanks!

  • I had a great prenatal massage at Sugar House Day Spa in Alexandria. They have a special pillow so you can lay on your stomach, which was nice.

    Same here!

  • i haven't been to sugar house day spa, but have heard good things about it.

sherri bergen at Alexandria Myotherapy in Old Town does prenatals. they used to have a prenatal massage table (no pillows, your tummy fits nicely in a hole in the bed, which they fill in when you turn over onto your back/side). not sure if they still do!

i know you said you didn't want to go to Massage Envy (perhaps b/c of the membership aspect?), but if you've never been, you can take advantage of the low introductory price (i think it's $49 or $59) with no requirement to join. i highly recommend Yvette at the Potomac Yard store. she is wonderful with prenatal massage, and a tremendous source of knowledge about healing and wellness in general. she books up fast!

  • Thanks for the suggestions! Anyone know of any places in Montgomery County? I should have specified that I live in Rockville, MD.
  • I had a good massage (regular, not prenatal) at The Still Point in Takoma Park. I know they do prenatal massages, too.

I'm sure there are good places in Rockville, but I don't know of any.
