need easy appetizer recipes

DH is having a poker night and I'm feeling a little guilty about his typical fare of store bought salsa and chips. So, I need some easy appetizers that are easy to make and taste good. One of his friends is a chef so I'd like to look like I know what I'm doing.

Homemade gauc? I just add lime juice, a little bit of a ranch pack and I dice tomatoes (when I have them). Super easy and yummy!

Pesto bread! Store bought pesto, shredded parm, and a baguette. Cut up baguette, spread on a spoonful of pesto + shredded parm and bake until cheese is melted. So easy + tasty (and nobody has to know you didn't make the pesto)!

You can slice tomatoes and put olive oil, parmesan cheese, chives, basil and oregano on them and still them in the oven for a couple of minutes. They look great and taste yummy. (My friend makes these, I never have but I think this is all he does. He then serves them on those big round crackers that are about the same size as the tomato.)

I've had whole water chesnuts soaked in soy suace and wrapped in bacon and they were YUUM. I've never made them, but seems pretty easy, just secure with a toothpick and bake until the bacon is cooked.

- pigs in a blanket (little smokies wrapped in crescent rolls - follow baking instructions for rolls) w/ assorted mustdards

Do u have a baking stone? Like the pampered chef ones? You can melt slices of cheddar cheese on them and then they come right off. Top with guac and yum! Always a big hit.
