I've seen a lot of posts where people recommend to "get moving as soon as possible" and that they were up and moving right away. I walked from my bed to the bathroom about 12 hours post op when I had my catheter and IV out. I thought this was a really, really long time and was just wondering when the soonest you could possibly be up and moving is.
Re: How soon were you up and moving?

The nurses wanted me to stay in bed for 24 hours but I felt like I had to get up around 9 hours after the surgery. I had a breakdown begging for them to unhook me and they finally did around 10 hours out. I was fine and actually walked around the wing that same evening (very slowly of course!)

This.
I set my alarm for just before the 12 hour mark so we could call the nurse. I wasn't allowed back into the NICU until I could get out of bed (besides doing a drive by on the way from recovery to my room).
longest 12 hours ever.

Here's mommy brain for you, DD 2 is only a week old and I really have to think hard about this one! I'm pretty sure that the cath was out around 8pm, after my c/s at 10:30am. I was up and walking then.
With DD1, it was 24 hours post surgery. And it sucked!
I had my c-section around 1015 (baby was born 1028). I was in the recovery room until 1230 then moved to my postpartum room. They had me transfer myself into my new bed by sliding myself over (with some assistance) which was a lot of work on its own since I still had some numbness to my legs. It was around 430pm when they had me walk to the bathroom to change my pad. Went for a walk down the hallway around 930pm that night.
