To test or not to test... I need votes!

I asked hubby this last night and he looked at me like i was crazy, then he told me I am crazy!

We leave for vaca on the 14th. The 13th will be 12 DPO- Should I test before or when I get there. OR try to wait for AF on the 17th?? ahh

I would suggest to wait but Lord knows I wouldn't be able to b/c I am a poas addict. If you can hold out I would, you don't want to possibly be disappointed before your trip. But if you have to poas I think 12dpo is a good time to test.

I would do one before just because I am one of the people who can't wait. If it's BFN wait until you get back and take another. But everyone is different. I would rather take a few tests in the off chance of finding out early than wait it out and know for sure with one test, haha Smile

You should do what makes *you* feel empowered!

If it were me, I would wait til AF on the 17th (or just do my darndest to wait). Either you get AF and you're not pregnant, or you don't and are you are. Chances are, if you test too early you'll get a BFN anyway and could stress yourself out with the disappointment. For me, I'd rather keep the excitement up and check when the possibility of good news is maximized!

If you have cheap tests then I would test. If you do not then I would wait until I missed AF or my temps rose (didn't look to see if you are temping).

Personally I'm all for testing early but managing expectations that it could still be too early to know for sure. Nothing's settled until BFP or AF shows.

Hmmm. Good point. I didn't think of the drinking factor...i mean I guess ill find out by the 17/18th either way unless AF comes late. I have often had a late AF when travelling... I don't know if it's the flying or something. I think I will bring some tests with me and do it when i'm there.

I think that since it is a vacation, BFP or no BFP, it would be nice to spend time together afterwards. Either completely bouncing off the walls excited or bummed, you would still be on vacation at least! So test the morning of your vacation!

I literally lost sleep last night because I couldn't stop thinking about when I'm going to test - and I know my hubby would look at me the same way, lol. I vote test!! There is no harm in testing - take an extra one with you just in case

ps - I'm a total POAS addict, so I may just be encouraging bad behavior
