Christmas gifts for instructors or coaches?

If you child is in dance or gymnastics are you getting their teacher a gift for the holidays?  Should we bring them cookies, or do you think we should also get a gift card to somewhere like Starbucks?

    I go to a local, well-liked bakery and get pies or some type of dessert. Saves me the hassle of cooking tons of desserts and it is always a treat to get a dessert from a bakery.
