Hi everyone. We are new to the area with newborn twins. Please recommend your (a good) pediatrician for our newborn twins and 5y.o. We live in fairfax, very close to george mason university and ardmore and westmore neighborhoods.
We go to their Alexandria location, but I have two friends who go to the Fairfax location and like it.
I like it because they are open 7 days a week. Sunday is only for acute illness, but still if the kids get sick over the weekend, you don't have to go to the ER.
We are CMA Fairfax people too! They are awesome, love the days and hours. I also love that the person who answers the phone is a nurse - you can talk to them, you don't have to leave a message and ask for a call back. They always respond quickly to after hours calls, we've called twice in the middle of the night and have gotten a prompt response after using the answering service. I've never seen a doc or nurse practitioner I didn't like, but Dr. Kishi is our favorite and who we request for well visits.
Congratulations on finding a place to live. That's a little further out than I thought you were looking but there are many lovely areas over there.
thanks! yes, i thought so too, but dh found the house and he liked it so we went with it. we were getting pressed for time as well since the twins just arrived on 11/23rd. we're moving on 12/18th but dh is there now, back to work today! it's definitely going to be an adjustment for us
i should probably update the other board too since the ladies were so helpful!
thanks, ladies. i'm checking it out now. anyone familiar with union mill pediatrics? I have another recommendation for them but it sounds like CMA is popular. i hope we can get in. we like personalized service but we also appreciate convenience and availability on the weekends for sick appts.
Re: Please recommend a pediatrician for Fairfax, VA
We go to Children's Medical Associates, and they are across the street from GMU.
