Hello! I'm mostly a lurker but have a question for those of you who buy on Hyena Cart and Etsy. How do you choose which diaper you want? Sizes? Fabrics? Cuteness? Recs from friends?
I've been cruising around both sites and I'm a bit overwhelmed. Obviously the really well known stores are all sold out so I'd like to try a less well known store but don't know where to start.
I guess I'm really just looking for some recommendations from you more experienced CD mamas because I'm afraid of getting burned on a pricy diaper that looks cute but doesn't function. TIA.
ETA: You don't have to share your favorite shops, I don't want to horn in your secret fluff supplier if you don't want to share. I'm just curious how you pick a new shop.
Re: How do you choose? HC/Etsy (edited)
Read the descriptions of the diapers to see if the seller gives specifics for the construction of the diaper. Check to see how many layers are listed for fitteds and how the soakers are constructed. Message the sellers with questions. You can also check out feedback on Etsy.
You'll find a spreadsheet in my siggy that lists Bumpie stores, with products ranging from pockets to fitteds and AI2s.
Good luck!
Check out this Bumpie Business List .
I also recommend trying used from Spots' Corner on HC and looking at the Bumpie spreadsheet to support bumpie WAHMs
You can also check out Bububebe (on HC). Her store is always stocked and they are GREAT diapers (one of my favorites). Very absorbent, versatile inserts and even great for overnight.
Others are Tangerine Baby and Orange Diaper Co. (all on HC)
I don't usually purchase fitteds from Etsy, but if you're interested in wool, you can check out Forty41 and Chickadee & Me.
HTHThanks for all the recs. I've got a used TT on the way that I scored off the FB fan page. I'm also waiting for an Orange fitted to arrive. I wish Old School Cool would stock again because I'm wanting to try out one of those, too. As for BubuBebe, I want one of those too, but can't decide which one yet.
