jogging stroller

Do any of you use a jogging stroller as an everyday stroller as well. I would hate to purchase both but I guess I could always buy a used everyday stroller. Mine will be about 15 mos apart.

Re: jogging stroller

  • I don't personally.  I use a BOB Duallie for jogging and a Baby Jogger City Select for everyday.

Are you planning on really running?  Or will the jogger just be for walking?

  • If you plan on light jogging & using it for everyday errands, the bumbleride indie twin is a great compromise.  It is heavy (30lbs) but you can run with it and it's narrow enough (29.5") to fit thru most doorways.

I have both too for the same reasons. My boys are 15 months apart and I can't imagine taking that darn double bob to the pedi office or mall. It's huge! But it's GREAT for outdoor activites. We take it to Disney World with us.

I will use it for running. I guess it would be pretty bulky using it at the mall and such. thanks! I really want a bob but DH will freak at the price... I will just keep looking on craigslist since I have awhile.

  • You definitely want the double bob if you're a runner. I can push both my boys (60lbs for them) in it with one hand and turn it except going up hill. It's such a great stroller just bulky.

Do you have a single stroller now? You could always keep that and use it. Put the older one in it and wear the baby in a sling. I've done this many of times b/c DS2 hates the stroller and shopping in general. Really the only place I need an inside stroller is getting in/out of the pedi office. That's only b/c I have to park in a parking garage go down an elevator, walk around the corner, then into a builder, up another elevator and finally into the office. It's just easier to have my city select with me. I have seen several mommas with double bobs in our pedi office and other offices. It can be done.

thanks for the suggestons. I do have a city mini and also a baby trend jogger. I go on a lot of walks too because _ have a lab. I guess the only place I would use the nonjogging would be the mall or maybe the peds office. I just want to find one of them used at least.
