Belly protruding after c-section -- how long?

I cannot recall with my first daughter how long my belly protruded out after I had my c-section. I feel like with my second c-sectionit has taken longer to get my belly to flatten back to a somewhat normal place and turn to a jelly roll.

Currently, I look like I am still 14+ weeks pregnant -- I don't have any flab as it's all a round belly -- any thoughts, advice? I am only 4 weeks PP and have lost more than 1/2 my gained pregnancy weight.

Good question. I am wearing an abdominal binder, do you have one of those?

You can be damn sure it took longer than four weeks. lol.

I had flat abs before getting pregnant and I'm flat again now, but not as strong. I'd say it took a good 6 months to be actually flat again. As far as the bulging uterus - my OB told me it would take 6-8 weeks for the uterus to be back to its normal size.

My stomach has never gone back to normal after either of my kids because I have a diastasis recti and I haven't really bothered to fix it. I feel like I permanently look 12 weeks pregnant.

But yeah, 4 weeks is nothing. It took 9 months to put all that belly on, it will take some time for it to go back to normal.

With ds1 I lost all my weight within three weeks but still had a belly. I got pg again 6 1/2 months pp so it never went away. After ds2 I lost all baby weight plus 20 lbs and still had issues with my stomach. I was actually starting Pilates to see if that would help when I got pg again.
