Anyone made it/making it? We haven't started. I am going to try swapping out one bottle for a sippy with formula next week at daycare and see how that goes.
I've been trying here and there, but nothing consistant. I guess I should get on that! Usually she chews on the sippy, or throws it. At one point I was putting water in it, and she thought that was disgusting...so I tried formula, but still did not get anywhere. Im not sure if its coming out to fast, or she is not sure on the concept yet. I suppose I should start trying. For some reason I have never been in a rush about it.
Shi knows how to drink from it, but has yet to take a sippy with water (or formula)and finish it or take anything significant from it. She seems to enjoy it though. I am pretty much waiting to talk to the pedi at the 1 year to get his advice before I start trying harder. She is so little that I want her getting calories first and foremost.
We used these with my older son. The have a nipple that's more like a standard bottle nipple and then one that's more like a sippy. From there, we moved to regular sippies. Before that, he wanted nothing to do with a cup.
DD hates the sippy. I've tried different kinds with no luck. I've tried water (both warm and iced), apple juice, and formula. I have grape juice but I don't want to open it if she's not going to drink it. I keep trying every week or so, but she just chucks it to the side every time.

This is how Emily is with hers. We just use the disposable ones (but we wash and reuse) I found those easiest to learn from with DS because the liquid comes out without any work so he got it really easily.
She seems to be weaning herself from the bottle as she eats more food during the day. I'm just going to wait til a year and as she weans herself from formula start giving her a sippy with WCM at meals.

Re: Non bf-ers, transition from bottles??
I haven't started the sippy cup yet. I gave it to her once with water and she didn't like it.
I think I need to use a different sippy, the one I have has a straw and it makes a mess.
What kind of sippy are you using?
