1. My 30th birthday is in 4 days, I almost forgot!
2. Apple only woke up twice last night, J and I tag teamed the first wet diaper/hungry wake and J went solo on the second, I am so happy for the sleep.
3. J has been so much help with the baby, it's been nice to remove her from my body and attach her to J's every now and then.
4. I feel sad for Owl, I can tell she wasn't taught a lot of things, she is very smart but is behind on a lot. I am teaching her how to use a spoon and sippy cup at 18 months and hoping she picks up on speech, she doesn't have 4-10 words like she should (we haven't heard any yet).
5. Apple's case was continued until the 27th, I am hoping for good news then.
6. Iz picked her nose so much during nap yesterday that it started bleeding, half of her pillow was covered in blood before she said anything to anyone. When I woke her up from nap she was mad that J had told her not to pick her nose so she told me that J slapped her face when she saw that her nose was bleeding. What's up with this kid?
7. Does anyone know how much formula WIC provides?
8. A has a field trip to the aquarium tomorrow, she can't stop talking about it. She makes me so proud.
9. Remember I mentioned we were supposed to meet up with the guys we are back-up sitters for? Well one of them requested me on FB and I found out he is kinda pretty famous...
10. We got approved for the rental house we looked at! I am meeting the rental agency guy there this weekend to go over lease details. Woohoo!
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
1. I just spent 30m looking for (reasonably priced) Star Wars underwear for my kids' stocking. No dice. I am not spending $20 for 3 pairs of cheap underwear for my 5y old.
2. I am also stalking Bakugans on E-bay for their stockings. I refuse to pay $6 for a little ball that will break. Oh, what we do for our kids.
3. It is rainy and gross here. Perfect day to be home.
4. Today is free lunch day at work. Whoo hoo!
The cafeteria will be a madhouse. But it is free. 
5. I am meeting a friend for dinner and a bit of shopping at the mall tonight. Should be fun!
6. Aside from a couple of little things and stocking stuffers, the boys are done (we had to buy Santa, from us, and from my dad since he sent $$.)
7. We got the tree last night...now it sits bare in the living room. Maybe trimming it will happen on Thursday night.
8. The boys are so into the Elf on the Shelf. The first thing they do in the morning is hunt for the elf. (the trick is to remember to re-hide it after they go to sleep!)
9. MommyMonster - I am sorry you are so lonley. Have you looked on Meetup? perhaps not in your town but perhaps the nearest city?
10. Online shopping is not good for my productivity nor my budget.
1. I haven't participated in TTT in a few weeks.
2. I better go check elfster and get those names drawn.
3. Last week my boss gave his notice. He leaves at the end of the month. Things have been weird around here since.
4. We need to purchase a carseat we can take to CA with us and that can also be back up for home. I'd like to purchase the $40 cosco but think perhaps I should upgrade to a bit more mid-range.
5. Still no renters.
6. Lots of work to do so I should go when I'm done with TTT (and after I check elfster).
7. Anyone want to do my holiday cards for me? I don't really feel like doing them this year.
8. I wonder how long our Christmas tree is going to sit outside (in water) before we set it up.
9. One of our dogs has a vet appt tonight. I'm worried it's cancer.
10. Off to get some work done...
1. Now that we have a decent blender, I wish I hadn't given away my raw food book. My old blender couldn't handle most of the smoothie recipes in it.
2. I want to run out and buy tons of coordinating baby outfits. But we aren't buying anything for the babies until we move. Except that I might need to buy ONE set of adorable clothes just to celebrate knowing that they are B/G.
3. I enthusiastically collected boxes and moving supplies so I could start packing some less-needed stuff (knickknacks, books, summer clothes), but there are only two weekends before Christmas and I'm not sure when I thought I was going to do that.
4. I want to make soft sugar cookies and this frozen maple pie I've had my eye on, but I don't want them to be at home where I will eat them. Maybe I will bring them to our work Christmas party.
5. Yesterday I saw a woman getting on the elevator wearing a very snug cream sweater dress, furry boots, a furry vest, and loads of jewelry. It was all very Vail- apres-ski-cocktails, not working-in-a-drab-government-office-on-a-50-degree-day. I guess we all need to dream
6. I made it into the playoffs in my fantasy football league, even though I haven't watched a game all year and, after four years in this league, still don't really understand how football works. I chalk it up to an excellent auto-draft, few injuries, and a redesigned app that made it much easier for me to figure out how to use the predicted stats.
7. I can tell this is getting long. Must come up with shorter Things.

1. DW and I are both sick. I have a bad upper respiratory infection and she has the stomach bug from hell. I feel so bad for her because we had to go to our pre-med monitoring this morning so she could get "wanded"(our term for internal U/S).
2. Lots of little follies waiting to grow and I am praying third time in the charm.
3. My cousin and his wife just miscarried for the third time and it made me realize I dont care how long it takes as long as we dont have to go through that. She is 42 and survived brain cancer and those little babies just wont stick.
4. I hate being sick because I dont have sick days because I am an at will employee so no cash for me.
5. DW and our dog are curled up on the couch sleeping...they are both snoring.
6. I wish the mail would get here I should have a decision from the grad school I really want to go to in the mail.
7. I am watching Rocky...I love boxing movies.
8. I play fantasy football and make a bet with my brother every year. I ended in first place and he is in next to last. So my very hairy 350 pound 6'4" gorrilla of a baby brother has to go on a date with me...in a dress. LOL. I just bought him panty hose the other day.
9. My mother is having a heart attack about #8 and says to take lots of pictures but she is adopting the same policy she had when I had blue hair "No way am I going into public with you fools"
10. Ugggg I really want this fever to break!!!
1. There are only 3 of us here today because of a big conference in DC. Its so quiet!
2. Normally the quiet helps me to be productive... but definitely not today! Unless you call posting here and playing a few games of spider solitaire "being productive."
3. I'm fighting the urge to go to Qdoba for lunch, its right downstairs, but I shouldn't spend the money.

9. Only three weeks and six days until I have off of work, but Trav is working and Gwen is going to daycare! Its been so long since I've had a whole ME day! I'm almost giddy trying to figure out what I want to do!

I love this recipe... it sounds weird, but its delicious!
Raw Veggie Cereal
3 tablespoons raw pecans
3 baby carrots
1/2 cup cauliflower
1/2 cup broccoli
1 large peeled, cored apple
Chop the pecans and carrots in a food processor. Pulse until all they are chopped into small pieces. Add the cauliflower, broccoli and apple and pulse again until all ingredients are chopped into pieces as small as you desire.
Scoop a generous serving into a bowl; add cinnamon and milk.

Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
1. I need to get motivated to finish shopping for E tomorrow night so I don't have to fight the crowds next weekend.
2. I have to call the photo place today to order prints from E's photo shoot. I hope I can still get them before Christmas, I'm counting on those for family gifts!
3. Last night E told me her reading book (loaned by her teacher for her practicing at home) was still at her dad's. A few texts and a phone call later he insists they took it to school and then proceeds to complain about how he has so many things he has to remember when he takes her to school...REALLY???
4. Thankfully her book was in her other bag at school this morning. I was not about to cough up the $20 for a lost book.
5. The director of my dept. has a meeting with the VP over our division today. This meeting will likely determine if I can move to a new facility half the distance from home. With free parking. And an extra hour plus of time in my day.
6. I am trying not to get my hopes up about #5, but I really really really hope it goes through.
7. I wasn't planning to take any extra time off around the holidays, but now I'm thinking maybe I should. There are so many things I need to do at home.
8. My best friend's parents are going back home (to the Philippines) tomorrow and I know she will be sad. I can't imagine having to do that.
9. I need to go shopping for work clothes.
10. I wish it would snow here, I miss that part of growing up in eastern WA.

Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
1. I'm really irritated that the one time I decide to do the ten things Tuesday, I get it all typed up and then the page decides to refresh and it's all gone. Great. Maybe it should be three things Tuesday. Then it's far less to type and read.
2. I can't wait to be done with finals. I only have 4 exams left and it cannot come fast enough.
3. As long as I finish #2 successfully, then #3 is that I can't wait for graduation!
4. We're so excited to see the babies at our next US appointment. Our 24 week check is next Wednesday. It seems like forever since we've seen them, even though it's only been 3 weeks.
5. I have SO much to do after graduation. I have not even started on the nurseries. Before I can start on the nurseries I have to clean out all the stuff in those rooms. The one room is our office and the other room is a "hoarding room" as we call it, which is somewhat full of junk. Then I have to paint, assemble the furniture and decorate. DW is quite worried that I won't finish in time--but I WILL.
6. Our dog is SO bored. DW has been on bedrest for...oh, 16 weeks or so. That means no walks for Maya. Usually I would bring her, but I have been trying my hardest to make $$ for her lost wages and keep up with school so I can grad-u-ma-tate.
7. I'm so glad that it hasn't snowed much, because I do not have time for that. BUT, come Decemeber 13th (my last final), it can snow, snow, snow. Bring it on!
8. We're almost completely done Christmas shopping. Thank goodness, it's always so overwhelming. Too many people, and too much "I want."
9. I'm not sure what to make for dinner tonight. We do have some left over scalloped potatoes and ham, but that doesn't sound good. Meh.
10. We're pretty sure that we're going to buy the Chicco Keyfit 30 carseats for the kiddos. However, we have been holding off hoping that they will have some better colors for 2012. It irritates me that they don't make a pink one, unless you buy the travel system. That will not do us any good with TWINS. We do not need a single stroller. The only other option is to buy one in any other color and then pay $65 to Chicco to get all the pink inserts. I really don't see that happening. While it's not the end of the world for her to have red, green, silver, etc., it's super irritating. I hope they change this for '12.
1. holiday cards have started arriving! yay! I've gotten two from ladies here (plus one from CT that was just a "thinking of you" card that I keep meaning to say thank you for).
2. I need to figure out which photo(s) I'm using for our holiday card and get them ordered. I really need to get that done, like, yesterday so we can get them sent out!
3. I should probably start getting my list of people to send them to together...
4. I want my tree up.
5. there is so much baking I want to do this year.
6. I have so much stuff I want to do and not enough time to do it in.
7. at least I'm done with my shopping. well, except for my sister but I know what I'm getting her, I just have to get it.
8. I wonder if we'll put lights up on the outside of our house this year? we haven't done it for the last few, and I think we missed our chance with the nice weather so I'm not sure it'll happen this year either. this past weekend was great. the rest of the week isn't looking so good.

10. I think I need some alone time with my camera. I want to shoot, but we've had so much going on lately that I just haven't been. maybe I'll talk with my wife and see if I can find a couple of hours this weekend to go out with it by myself.

8. Sprout's first report card came home on friday. I didn't love it.
9. Parent teacher conference to discuss is tomorrow. Why dont I think its going to be as sunny and wonderful as the last?
10. I've gotta get to the jewelry store for DW's gift!

Grrr. I want to know!
I actually had a dream in which I knew what this was. I've been known to have premonitory dreams. I hope this is what my dream was about! That would be awesome.
(And now you all know I'm basically cray-cray.

Ten things. Let's see.
1. Our housing search has come to a screeching halt. Ugh. I just want to find a perfect home that's affordable in the exact area I want. Is that too much to ask?
2. I'm finally feeling a little Christmas-y. Having your best friend take her own life in the beginning of December is a surefire way to pretty much ruin the holiday season.
3. J's nanny's son is sick, so she had to go home to be with him. The issue? She took J. Will J get sick? I hope not. *sigh*
4. He's growing way too fast. I guess it doesn't help that he's so tall - he looks so much older than he is... *double sigh*
5. I'm getting a promotion of sorts. It's exciting and kind of scary.
6. With the promotion of sorts will come an office. An actual office. With a window into the hallway.
It's still a window.
7. I think I'll get K a gift certificate for a massage this week. My poor wife is SO stressed out with work. The end of the semester is never a great time.

1. themommymonster, I'm sorry you are having a rough time. I have a really hard time making friends in new places, it's one of the things I am most worried about when we move.
2. The move is consuming most of my thoughts and all of my time. The movers are scheduled for January 9th, but we have SO much to do before then.
3. The main thing is getting all the clutter out of the main part of the house so that it is ready for the realtor to take photographs. We know we'll likely be moving to a smaller place in Chicago, so now is a good time to declutter.
4. When I declutter, I realize I am much too attached to things. I am the classic packrat who always thinks something will have a use someday.
5. I also only have two and a half weeks of work left. My replacement started a week and a half ago, but I still need to pull a bunch of stuff together to hand off to her and teach her some important things.
6. DW defends her dissertation Thursday. I'm so proud of her and she's going to do great.
7. DW's parents are coming into town for her dissertation defense. We're cooking dinner for them on Wednesday and they are taking us out to dinner on Thursday.
8. I am really glad they are coming, but I hope their presence doesn't make DW any more anxious than she already is. All those old patterns we have with our parents can do funny things to a person.
9. Between ending work, DW's dissertation, getting ready to move, and the fact that we're going out of town for the holidays, I feel like I barely have time for any holiday stuff.
10. I just realized that I got stuck on #10 three hours ago and never finished. Ooops!

2. TMM - I'm sorry you're feeling so down. It's really tough to make friends in a new place.
3. We have a pretty small social circle, and they're almost all either people from DW's work or people I went to college with. I often wish that all our friends from various points in our lives could all just live in one place so I wouldn't have to worry about making some new friends.
4. And now I'm wondering if a statement about my social circle shouldn't have to start with "we".
5. One of the people I supervise quit this afternoon.
6. I'm sad to see her go because she's talented and therefore easy to supervise, and also because it makes me question whether I had anything to do with her leaving. Being a supervisor is more complicated than I anticipated.
7. I went to the gym two days in a row.
8. I don't think DW is ever coming home from work.
9. DW's little sister got engaged on Friday. Yay for her!
10. DW sent me an article that claims microwave popcorn can cause infertility. Say WHAT? I totally love microwave popcorn, and at one time in my life practically lived off of it.....way to freak a girl out.

6. Nightweaning with Henry is going pretty well. Dear sweet goodness I hope that child with STTN soon. I am so. effing. tired.
7. We've gone 5 nights in a row now with no nursing between bedtime and 5 or 6 AM.
8. Not that we are ttc#2 any time soon, but we need a new girl name. Damn you google.
9. I am back in touch with an old friend, and it makes me so very happy. Now I wish I could go back in time and do this sooner, so we wouldn't have missed so much of each other's lives.
10. I should be crafting or cleaning. Instead I am going to continue to sit on my tired tushie until DW gets home from class and we go to bed.

I'm going to play today.
1. I got started on my holiday cards and can't help thinking that maybe next year we can get photo cards with our baby's picture on them? Am I the only one who prowls Minted and TinyPrints and picks out which one I would order if I had a baby to put on one? Oh, and I've never done that with birth announcements either. *cough*
2. I'm also becoming obsessed with Pinterest.
3. Sometimes my hair looks awesome when it rains and it makes my whole day. Yeah, I said it.
4. Our cat seems to be doing better. Kidney diet food + subcutaneous fluids + love = healthier kitty, at least for now.
5. I really want to get a manicure after work tomorrow. It's the night my wife works late and I have the evening to myself.
6. I don't like the book I'm reading but I'm compulsive about finishing books once I've started them...so it's just making me hate my commute.
7. #6 is de-railing my GoodReads goal to read 50 books this year. I need to find something short that will go quickly.
8. I feel like this is going to be a good Christmas...even without a BFP.
9. I'm excited not to have to buy or use any OPKs this month. Freedom!
10. Tonight I had my first therapy appointment in a long time and I'd forgotten how good it feels to say all the things you want to say without worrying about sounding like a freak!

1. I did this yesterday from my Iphone but it came out one gigantic paragraph. So I am not 'technically' late.
2. We are in the throws of an absolutely awful head cold. Today is the first day N hasn't had low fever since Saturday. Taking care of a sick infant while sick is hard, to say the least..
3. Little N is starting to soak through his diapers at night. He is so tiny, 8 weeks 2 days and only 9 pounds, so he doesn't fit into the larger size yet and is pee'ing more than the newborn diapers can hold. What do do, what to do.. perhaps wash his wool, for starters...
4. I can't believe he is almost 2 months old..even though he is only 9 pounds, he is nearly double his birth weight and feels so big! Time can stop now, for a little while..
5. My favorite chore is washing and sorting diapers. I have a big pile waiting to be sorted and stuffed but I will only do it once he is asleep. So I am not interrupted. Never in my wildest imagination...
6. I haven't bought a single christmas gift and we haven't gotten our tree. Something about 60 degree weather makes feel weird.
7. We had hoped to send picture holiday cards this year, but with being sick.. haven't gotten around to it - I wonder if it is too late?
8. I need blog recommendations. I follow all of you but I need a few more to read while nursing. Anyone?
