What is this pain?!?!

I've been definitely retaining lots of fluid lately, but for the past 2 days my hands have been KILLING ME! They swell of course, but they hurt much worse than they look :( I cannot make a fist, I can't even lift anything with my hands. Anything that requires pressure, I simply can't do it :( The pain is from my wrist to my finger tips, which makes me think carpel tunnel. It feels like I have something wrapped around both wrists and cutting off the circulation to my hands. However, when I press my nail beds, the blood comes right back immediately. My knuckles hurt the worse. I go to the Dr tomorrow, but has anyone else been experiencing this?

    Maybe it's carpal tunnel?  I had that where my wrist and hand and fingers hurt so badly I couldn't function.  I went and bought a wrist protector for carpal tunnel from the drug store and it fixed it up right away

    Carpal tunnel is common during pregnancy due to extra fluid pressing on nerves.  I bought a brace that I wear when it bugs me.

    Over the last week or so I've noticed some minor swelling in my hands along with some pain and lack of normal strength.  My left wrist has been hurting a lot too.  I'm sure it has to do with the extra fluid putting pressure on the nerves and that it is common in the 3rd trimester.  I sleep with braces on my wrists and it helps.  (I'm sure if I wore them during the day too it would help more.)

    I remember reading on a medical website (mayoclinic maybe?) that a lot of women are prone to carpal tunnel during pregnancy. I can't remember the reason though.
