shutterfly photo books

anyone here used shutterfly to create photo books?

i'm making one for my mom and MIL as x-mas gifts and i was wondering about the quality.

i have a $10 off coupon code that expires 10/15 if anyone wants it- the flyer i got in the mail had two but one is for me and one is for a friend so i don't think i can use both

Re: shutterfly photo books

  • I have made a few, and they are nice. The hardcover ones are the best. I made a few cheap (practically free) paperback ones, and they are not as nice, obviously.

  • I have 2 and they are ok, I prefer Kodak Easy Share though. One of my covers (hard cover) is printed off so there is a white space at the bottom. Some of the pics are not crisp even though it didn't indicate there could be a size issue when I was building it.

That being said, if it was cheap I would use them again! If I need a quality book (current books are for R to flip through) I would probably go to the Kodak site.

  • I made a hard cover one for Stella's first year and used my Pampers points to pay for it.  I'll do the same thing for Audrey's first year.  I really like them!

  • thanks for the info girls. i was really getting into createing it last night- and ended up staying up playing with the layout till 1 am!!

i think my mom and MIL will love it... now i just have to try and restrain myself from working on it at work today!

  • I think they are nice. I made one with the cd of family photos we had done this summer.  I have also used kodak gallery in the past. I don't know that there was a noticeable difference between them, although I usually find snapfish to be cheaper.
  • oops, I was thinking snapfish. I have never used shutterfly for a photo book!
