I want a Christmas stocking for LO that is cute, but will grow with him. Where would you look? I've already looked at Target and online at Pottery Barn Kids and Land of Nod. Any other suggestions?
i just bought a cheap target stocking for sprout. we're planning to have another kid & i'm team "stockings must all match/coordinate" and I'm afraid ordering them years apart will result in discontinued-ness and/or slightly different color. so, when we have the last kiddo, we'll buy everyone a new stocking

yes, i am that crazy.
nah, you're not crazy. I also wanted them all to match so I just bought 4 stockings when Warner was a baby and we weren't even thinking about #2 yet. Now if (god forbid) we have a third kid, he/she may be SOL.
I too bought the pottery barn ones, the plain ones are nice as well - I have striped one and DH has the red one while the girls have two different skaters/angels. I liked that I could wait for #2 to be born and buy one that matched the set.
Re: help me find a christmas stocking!
can you expand on "will grow with him"?
We just have simple red and white stockings from Pottery Barn. The larger of the two shown in this pic: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/velvet-stocking/?pkey=cstockings-holiday
They are very similar to the ones my mom made for us when we were kids and she still hangs them at her house :-)
(And speaking of stockings...I need to get our embroidered this year, I have forgotten for 2 years in a row now!)
C's is from PersonalCreations.com. It's actually pretty whimsical and I doubt it will age well for him into adulthood, but oh well.
I made mine & DH's in less than an hour, so I'm absolutely positive that you could do the same.
I think these from Red Envelope are absolutely adorable! Perfect for any age.
