Has anyone had a epidural while also having scoliosis? I have a mild curve toward my lower back. Not sure if this could prevent me from being able to have one if I chose to during labor?

It's something you need to discuss with your OB and they may have you set up an appt with an anesthesiologist to talk about it before hand. Do you have x-rays that show where the curve is?
My friend had severe scoliosis and had rods put in her back b/c of it. She ended up needing a c-section and had to be under general anesthesia for it b/c of her back. But she's a severe case...

I have a real mild curve as well and was able to get an epidural with my DS. You just want to make sure you tell your doctor and anesthesiologist before they start poking you so they can be prepared.
I have scoliosis and had a herniated disc. My OB sent me for a work up with the anesthesiologist and he said it would be fine. My sister also has scoliosis and was able to have the epidural.
Just be sure to mention it to your OB and they might send you for a consult with the anesthesiologist.
