I was looking for some name ideas from different websites and came across this one. It has a 'drawbacks' section when you type in a name and lists possible nicknames mean kids could give your kid.
I typed in a pretty popular name, Audrey, just to see what would happen. Evidently, a drawback is that an Audrey could be called 'au jus.' Really? I wouldn't ever have thought of that.
Some of the other 'drawbacks' were kinda amusing.

That's so useful. Apparently our boy name (Milo) doesn't have any drawbacks, but here are the ones for our girl name, Aurelia:
Eleanor --> Smelly Ellie
Parker --> Porker and re-krap. Re-krap? Really?
I can see the Eleanor one but it wouldn't bother me. Simply spelling the name backwards? That could be ANYTHING.
DD is Cameron, there were a few, I think moron was the worst lol
There were none for Vivian, this LO's name
And well, for me, Christine, there were a ton lol

Neither of our name picks had drawbacks, which is odd because I can actually think of a couple for each of them (Cullen for a boy, Presley for a girl).
I looked up my name (Catherine), too, and I can honestly say I've never heard catheter as a reference to my name lol. I've heard the others, though, and go by some of them even now (Cat, Kit Cat, Kitty Cat). Various friends in high school and college called me things like Cattamarink, Cattamaran, Caterina, etc. I never had an issue with my name, and I like it even more now that I'm older.

I guess our name choice for a girl is sound - "vivian", there are no drawbacks!
And "Henry" our boy name doesn't have too many horrible drawbacks. I highly doubt school bullies will be calling him Henry VIII...

I highlighted my favorites LOL. What's funny is that I've had friends who have called me Dan-smell before (as a joke, not to be mean) and I also have a friend who still calls me "Belly," which came from, "Danielley-Belly Button" haha.
OK, I also did Anthony, which is one of our only boy names in the running right now (Anthony Frank after DH's grandfather--first and my grandfather--middle). These were the nicknames: (LOL)
